About studio

First, the necessity of setting up the studio that attracts specialists and learners, appeared in 1998 for the reason of restoration of the Crimean Saint-Assumption friary in Bachtschissarai town. For more than 20 years this art-studio helped a lot of monasteries and temples.

Hieromonach Alypios (V. Kulesha) is a head of this art-studio and also an author of the icons that are represented in this site. The icons are painted in different techniques and styles of tempera and oil paintings with carved and chased «Leukos».

The art-studio «Synergy» is situated in the skete of St. George Monastery near Cape Fiolent (Balaclava, Crimea)

About the author

Vladimir Kulesha was born In Nikolaev (USSR) in 1971. In 1997 he graduated from the Academy of Arts majoring in historical and religious painting. Now he is a member of the International Federation of artists.

In 1998 he organized the art-studio «Synergy».
